Obviously, still apathetic and depressed.  Given that…Happy Holidays!

Also, saw something so true I had to share.  Thanks for IMAO for the assist.

ha, nice comic … I always figured it was a deliberate tactic of the left to accuse the right of doing the very (evil) thing they were actively doing themselves.

Obama said Bush was irresponsible and un-American for running up our children’s credit cards with a national debt burden, and then he did it even faster.
He also accused Bush of ruling with executive orders, bypassing Congress.
And the conservative small government tea party is accused of being extreme right fascists or something.

In my current hermit state, I try to catch up on some philosophy so many seem versed in, but I won’t read whole works, so go with the Amazon commentaries, which seem adequate, or better. But one article led to a little Nietzsche, who has one enlightened character that’s a hermit.

    “Flee, my friend, into solitude!
The perennial conflict between city and marketplace versus countryside furthers the contrast of higher self and the masses.
In the wilderness have ever dwelt the conscientious, the free spirits, as lords of the wilderness. But in the cities dwell the well-foddered, the draught beasts.
Solitude and the spurning of society is both insight and practicality, for “whatever cannot obey itself is commanded”. Thus, self-discipline is a prerequisite to “self-surpassing” and the attainment of the higher self. This process requires a separation that is moral, cultural, and social.

So perhaps your move to your own property is only the start of new spiritual enlightenment, and you have escaped the corruption, except for your job.

Merry Christmas in any case … the good thing about the start of winter is that the days start getting longer finally.

Wow! That’s a lot to think about in a few short paragraphs. Thank you!

Truly two excellent observations. Yours, and the crazy man’s.
