The White House is annihilating American influence in the Middle East and simultaneously maximizing Putin’s power. The only thing that can prevent immense death and suffering from this debacle is the Second Coming of Christ…and even then my Lord will need to step onstage toot sweet.
I attribute this indescribably horrible situation to the feckless stupidity and incomparable narcissism of the Ruling Class in general, and of Barack Obama in particular. But Klein is less forgiving; he thinks it’s intentional.
Ezra Klein claims that Obama is a monster, but I believe he’s being much too harsh. Barack is merely a spoiled, decadent, whiny, moronic self-worshipping coward.

Though, the whole thing is amusing as hell. It’s like an overturned anthill scrambling around to fix something they can’t control.
I don’t know how to describe anything anymore. You and I are willing to allow any manner of strange activity around us, as long as we’re left alone. But when the tyrants come, they’ll say we’re “uncivilized”.
It’s like a really weird variety show. Heck, first they screamed for a military strike, then Putin coughs, nudges Assad, and that little bugger rolls over, and now they’re trying to sell it as Obama’s great victory?

I can see Putin and Medwedev sitting in an office in the Kremlin, drinking vodka, watching some US news, and wonder how that Obama managed to get elected. And then laughing their butts off.
