I guess, since the executive branch refuses to enforce laws, why not let the judicial branch do some legislating?

Scalia described the “assertion of judicial supremacy over the people’s  representatives in Congress and the executive” as “jaw-dropping.”

In a rational world–ha!–the government wouldn’t be in the personal relationship business in the first place.

The most annoying thing about all this is, of course, the hypocrisy and sanctimony.  People who voted for DOMA just a few years ago now sneer at those who support traditional marriage.  At least Obama, Clinton, Reid, and all the rest can now go f— themselves within the holy bonds of matrimony.
