My opinion about Thomas Sowell is on the record. That said, here’s a quote from this column:
It is hard to think of two people with more different personalities than New York mayor Michael Bloomberg and President Barack Obama.
Seriously?! They seem like two peas in a pod to me. Admittedly I don’t listen to speeches, sticking to reading quotes or excerpts instead. Are their presentations really that different? Is this some human social thing to which I’m blind but is obvious to everyone else? Because…damn, Thomas. It’s hard to think of two people who seem more alike than Barack and Bloomie.
If you’re a sanctimonious, preachy, holier-than-thou, do-as-I-tell-you endlessly droning and whining snob, to me your personality seems exactly like every other sanctimonious, preachy, holier-than-thou, do-as-I-tell-you endlessly droning and whining snob statist.
Dogs and cats have personalities. Insects? Not that I can tell. So what the heck is Sowell talking about?
