Was the previous reference too esoteric?

Just realized that the previous post is none too clear…though edo is having fun with it.  What I meant to imply is that Elijah Cummings is a fugitive…a fugitive from reason.

About wormme

I've accepted that all of you are socially superior to me. But no pretending that any of you are rational.

  1. Blake says:

A fugitive from reason implies at least an acquaintance with reason.

You’re much more charitable toward Elijah than I am.

Hmm. You have prompted much philosophical musing. It seems possibly that one could flee in utter terror of some vast, alien, and utterly unknowable Thing, just like every protagonist in every story H.P. Lovecraft ever wrote.

So, let’s put it up for grabs. If logic is to Cummings as garlic is to a vampire, then you’re right. But if reason is to him what The Colour Out of Space is to New England farmers, then I am.

  2. Blake says:

So, Cummings is fleeing an unknown known. Interesting.

you write good chit wormme … for me, it’s just a matter of finding time to respond, amidst all the turmoil.

live long, write long … and prosper

that’s my limited sci fi background, spock response. the times are truly perilous, we need all hands on deck. But dancing with “the stars” is more dominant in most folks’ minds. Carry on .. be of good cheer … don’t give up the ship .. etc.

    You’re too kind.

The entire Beltway Mafia has abandoned reason a long time ago. They never ran away from it. They beat it into a pulp, threw it under a bus, then took a leak on it, set it on fire and finally sank it somewhere in the ocean as part of their initiation ritual.
