Pining for the fjords.

Not quite dead yet.  But the weekend’s tone was set by yet another sadistic sleepover.  I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever get used to sleeping in a C-PAP.

Apart from that?  Went on a reading bender.  Four novels since Friday: a (mouthful!) period urban fantasy pulp noir sequel, the last two of the Inheritance Trilogy, and a new author’s space opera.

It sure beats following the news…excuse me, the “news”.  From what little I’ve read, apparently Obama’s Inauguration speech was intended to 1) present Obama as the new, improved Abraham Lincoln, and 2) demonize half the country while ripping it in half.

Yeah…I see the resemblance!  It’s like a picture and its photographic negative.  Or the way a positive integer resembles the same number with a negative sign in front of it.

You know what?  Obama probably will end up being greater in magnitude than Lincoln.  He’s certainly enslaving a lot more people than Lincoln managed to free.

  1. Blake says:

Everyone who thinks healthcare is a right advocates for the return of slavery.

You didn’t specify government controlled healthcare, but I’m sure that’s what you meant. Naturally you’re right that only children and slaves aren’t responsible for taking care of themselves.
