RIP. I used to read Dear Abby faithfully, and the sensible advice was one of the pillars that held up the world and brought order out of chaos.
The younger version of my mom looks totally like the young Pauline Phillips.
Also, John Prine is probably the best songwriter I can think of.
I never read her or her sister that often. Judith Martin, “Miss Manners”, was my favorite. Her oh-so-refined dry humor was often hilarious.
Here is something rad techy for you:

The is end the best.
That’s terrific. He certainly makes sure to master his topics. And while that ending is great, it’s probably the least true bit of the piece. It’s hard to imagine a scenario in which a guard shoots someone who decides to jump into the pool. They’d need a visible suicide bomber’s belt rig, or the equivalent, as they charged for the water. Those would be difficult to get past the multiple layers of security
People have fallen into reactor and fuel pools before. As you’d probably guess, the biggest hazard is death by paperwork.
