Wait, did I say “fistful”? I meant, busfull.
X-ray doses have come down quite a bit from the beginning, but do those folks know they just got a few days’ worth? I’m less concerned about the crab (follow link to see).

But you have to admit, it’s pretty damn cool.
Insty linked to one of those rare, massively informative posts that you read a few times a year, this one a thumbnail of 4,000 years of Chinese history:

That was very good, thanks.
You know what the really funny thing about Chinese history is?
They had all those smart guys, even pretty good (for their time) military minds like Sun Tzu. And yet they effectively lost every single important war with foreign powers.
Though, my personal opinion about old Tzu isn’t the best anyway. Many of his claims have been disproved by the actual dynamics of a battlefield.
More from Insty, labelled with what has got to be one of the more striking examples deadpan Instapundian understatement, “A somewhat gloomy look at our economic future”:

Holy cr*p.
Honestly? I don’t think we’ll experience a crash. Our children and grandchildren probably, but we? No.
If there’s one thing our so called leaders are good at, then it’s weaseling out of things. For example, I’m not expecting a Euro crash. They will find a way to drag this out, the slowly fizzle it into oblivion.
Our so called leaders are crazy, but they’re not stupid.
I thought they were mostly stupid though not necessarily crazy!
No no, they’re not stupid. Stupid people stumble into things and don’t realize what they’re doing. These guys are doing this on purpose. They’re insane.
