Wanted to do more blogging today, but it’s been crazy and exhausting.  My boss is on an 11-day vacation, and made me his stand-in for meetings and departmental contacts.  (In addition to my meter-swinging, of course.)  Naturally my focus is on making sure I’m never, ever again picked for this Herculean labor. 

The trick is simulating enough incompetence to be left alone in the future  without setting off a China Syndrome. 

(*Also, assuming the Peter Principle applies.  After all, I wasn’t promoted to my level of incompetence.  I was promoted to my level of waaaah i don’t wanna do this!)
