That’s one of the common cries of the Occupy movements, generally in order to limit political speech by corporations. There is, however, a catch that I do not think they are aware of.
You can only tax persons.

Their view is simple:
If it’s not a person, it’s property; property can be seized via eminent domain.
Now I wish I was over there. I saw a vid of some protestor holding an iPad into the faces of LEOs. I could seize that iPad… for the greater good and redistribution. I am after all working for the ministry of the interior, so I need it. He’s a bum, he doesn’t need it.
Then they yell: “This is what a police state looks like.”
However, with their Euro fetish, as long as you tell them you’re with the Austrian Government, they’d probably roll over!
Unions are people too … I’m sure they want to end the corrupt practice of unions purchasing politicians.
Are presidents property, or people? Obama is owned by unions.

I’ve been pretty impressed by the Onion, they really took Bush to the cleaners ( both deservedly and not), and have kept it up with Obama. The Colbert/Daily shows have been neigh unwatchable on the other hand…
You can only sue a person also. Another catch they didn’t think of.
