Author, author!

Nooneofanyimport, xpat, mountainbear, MG, DefendUSA, D.J., Sue, and dumbasdirt have all been sent “author” invites.  Remember:

With great power comes great responsibility.

If you don’t want to bear such an awesome burden, I suppose you can decline the invite.  I don’t see the option for forcing you to be my Puffington Host and creating material for this site which will later be sold for hundreds of millions of dollars, not a nickel of which will ever cross your eyes.

If you’re a non-“author”ized regular here and want to become an unpaid pixel monkey, say the word.

About wormme

I've accepted that all of you are socially superior to me. But no pretending that any of you are rational.

I have no idea how this works, but I’ll figure it out eventually

You’d better not screw up NOAI’s day job….uh…I mean her her day blogging job.

I had planned to politely decline, but now you’re making it sound so good!

  4. Mountainbear says:

As for the hundreds of millions of dollars, no worries. If the current trend continues those millions won’t be enough to buy a loaf of bread anyway. Plus, it’s only money. I’d only do stupid things with it.

I gotta admit, it was exciting getting an email from the Great Worm! Even if it was probably automated.

Have I ever mentioned that the missus is totally grossed out by the WORM banner. (“Eeeuuuuuuwwwww! Close that window!”)

(On the up side, I am glad she did not see a certain butterfly tattoo which, for the sake of harmonious WORM community relations, I will, erhem, refrain from ever mentioning again.)

  6. D.J. says:

W.O.R.M., I hope you don’t want us to moderate comments.

    Because we can, you know.

  7. Xpat says:

I finally got the name the novel that the steampunk reference made me think of. Perdito Street Station. It was bothering me for about a week that I couldn’t remember it, and it took a strange gaggle of Google search terms to find it. Boy, that was a mind blower, Perdito.

  8. SeanB says:

I have read it, it is a very involved story.

  9. Sue says:

I am very honored to be included in the list with such an august gathering. Thank you.
That being said, I am still trying to figure out all the new buttons and such. So it may be a while before I do anything more than the occasional comment. 🙂

    Cards won!!!

So I’ll probably return to working my way into the “regular poster” club (it’s a hard job, but someone’s got to do it). I’ve also got an idea for a post, since you seem to be in an expanding mood.

  11. Xpat says:

By the way, whatever happened to Crosspatch?

  12. DefendUSA says:

Back from a fun filled college sport weekend…woo-hoo! Got my fill band, too. Now onto to a guest post…wherein I will try to keep it light…ahem.
