Any paniniphiles out there?

It’s foosball Saturday!  We’re playing Ole Miss, which shouldn’t be an ordeal as long as the team assumes it’ll be an ordeal.

Hopefully the GSB is coming by, that’ll give me an excuse to test the brand-new panini press.  Also got a recipe book, but will probably just wing it with an assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, and sauces.  Okay, also a veggie or two.

So, any recommendations for products particularly paninifiable?

    ? Panifi-

This is one of those “Boy, do I feel out of the cultural loop” moments.

I had to look up what that was and concluded: it’s a toast the way we make toasts over here. Just different sizes, different fillers. (fake Italian accent) But of course it get the fancy name, eh? (/fake Italian accent)

Seems anything goes for them. Including annoying neighbors.

“So what’s the Austrian language’s word for toast?” As Obama would ask.

      • Mountainbear says:

        Quite simple. We say toast.

Common joke when making a toast (as in the speech) is that people would say they are going to make a roasted bread. Though, I think that joke has a beard from Vienna to Houston, aka it’s that old and unfunny by now.
