“Do as I say, not as I do” liberalism.
The only odd thing here is the progressive’s awareness that he betrays his own standard. But, being a prog, apparently he just doesn’t care.
Too many Americans may be heavy, but they don’t define themselves by that condition…
Right, dehumanization is for professional leftists. Kinsley is an amazing piece of work. He argues that Christie’s too fat to be President, then counters himself:
That’s not a very liberal attitude. It’s discriminatory. It’s patronizing. It’s coercive.
And then, after making further, entirely legitimate arguments against his actual position, he…hares off elsewhere without self-rerebutting his self-rebuttal.
Wow. How can you be self-aware of the fact that you lack self-awareness? I don’t think there’s even a name for that condition. It’s meta-morality. Met-amorality?
We have met-amorality, and it is Mike.

Thanks! I’ll check it out on a non-‘Bama day.
Also new email, just so you know.
Yeah, I had to approve your last two comments, didn’t recognize why.
Bwahahahaha. Fear.
It’s an op-ed piece and certainly not any more mean spirited that typical right-wing minutia we see in columns all over the place daily. Christie’s overweight is the last reason I don’t want him as president.
Kinsley isn’t mean-spirited at all. It’s part of what boggles my mind about this.
