…slo…wer…ones.  So I have to continually forget V.V.’s existence in order to cope with ordinary unVingeful life.  But now…(DRUM ROLL)…October 2011!  New novel!

And set in the “Zones of Thought” universe!!  Squeeeeeee!

A Fire Upon The Deep was an unsurpassed novel.  Then it was surpassed, by A Deepness In The Sky.  I dare you to read about the “Emergent” government and not feel the need to slit Rahm Emmanuel’s throat.  Yea, and all who dare claim you should “never let a crisis go to waste”.  Ever wonder what would happen if you allow your government to exploit emergencies?  Mr. Vinge shows you the terminus. 

It isn’t pretty. 

Seriously, read ADITS and you’ll know why Rahm Emmanuel probably deserves summary execution, “just to be sure”.  I’d do it myself, but I’ll be too busy reading The Children Of The Sky.
