A little reminder, POTUS…

the CBO doesn’t score speeches.

Brendan Buck, a spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner, said Obama could scrap the speech and just hand over a detailed plan to Congress. “Seriously, just drop it in the mail. Podium not required,” Buck said.

I’m still not used to Beltway Republicans acting like they have spines.

You better believe this could become a vicious cycle.  Obama can’t possibly respond well to summary dismissals like that.  If he can’t keep a lid on it he’ll keep marginalizing himself, which will embolden the GOP, which will become more dismissive, etc etc.

Oh please, please Barack…have a series of public melt downs.  For the nation’s good.  The more completely you fall apart, the less America has to deal with the slander of racism.

You wouldn’t want me there. I would show so much blatant disrespect to Obie that it’d probably trigger a civil war.

As congressman or senator I would attend Obama’s speeches with a blanket and those old fashioned nightcaps and pretend I’d fall asleep together with loud snoring.

  2. I find myself hoping Obama doesn’t completely fall apart too fast. He must continue to hang onto some semblance of control, lest he force the Dems to actually ditch him in order to rehabilitate their own party. Oh, I want him to fail, but I want his party to fail with him. So he can squeak along for a few more months, until there’s no time before the ’12 election.

That possibility isn’t worrying me. They made waaaay too big a deal out of the racial angle for it not to bite their behinds if OBAMA goes under the bus. The only way he doesn’t represent the Dems in 2012 is if he chooses not to.

And I don’t see his ego as permitting an admission of failure.

I think I requested that Don Surber do one of his song parodies prior to Zo’s coming out. And Don did. It was right after Grandma went under.
