Oooh, oooh, why don’t we disarm the public?

What could go wrong?

David Cameron today warned rioters that they would face the ‘full force of the law’

Wait, I thought in Britain the “full force of the law” was reserved for citizens who didn’t turn in their guns.  Or, even worse, used them in defense against folks like the rioters.

Cameron, you’re sending really mixed signals to these predators.  For decades you’ve been disarming their prey, now you blame them for taking advantage?!  Pick a side, man!

God be with the peaceful English folk, since their government isn’t.

What I can’t understand is why people aren’t protecting their shops and property and simply allowing the mobs to torch them. Is this the end result of insurance? Nobody cares because insurance will cover it?

Because Great Britain has only recently relaxed its penalties for defending yourself in your own home. I know at least one shopowner has said his insurance doesn’t cover terrorism.

You turn people into sheep, they’re gonna get sheared.

Cameron is desparately searching for his balls.

You don’t warn them. You bring in the hammer and then you whack them.

Crosspatch, what are they supposed to protect them with? They have no weapons. The UK has been massively disarmed.

I am wondering how many of the people arrested were trying to protect their property.

      Good question!

Bet there’s a little pushback if the innocents are being punished on this one, though. The thought of a British Tea Party is delicious.
