The Egyptian crisis is due to global warming?
Actually, I guess they’re saying that global warming is impacting farming, driving up food prices, and causing the problem.
Wow.
The reality, of course, is that the global temperature isn’t due to human actions, but this spike in food prices is. And those human actions (corn used for fuel, not food; letting energy prices rise unnecessarily) were in response to perceived global warming.
Can something be ironic if it was also inevitable?
