Dadgummit!

Checked messages. Had spam with names like PexExtizefife,…screw it! They’ve coded their crap so I can’t highlight it without the fraggin’ fargin’ frockin’ freckin’ links!

Arrrrghh! Thank God I don’t have power over life and death. I would kill people. I wouldn’t give a crap about this spam trash, except regular posters are being filtered. SDH and Linda are considered spam, while semi-random letter combos get through. I’d show them except they refuse to be copied without their effin’ code trash sombitch mf’ing…

…okay. I’m calmer now. Sort of. I freely admit wanting to rip the heads off these coding bastards and shove their retard craniums up their retard behinds. A kinder fate than they deserve.

How do the big blogs manage this? I have a half-dozen regular commenters and can’t keep up with the spam bastards. If anyone can come up with a fate worse than death, I’m all ears. An eternity of reading their own crap? What?

Not sure how hard this is to implement; have some fuzzy picture of a few characters, and the post is filtered if the matching word is not entered. This is how many sites eliminate auto-generated entries.

OR, have a registry of emails. Posts are not accepted unless they are from one of the valid, accepted emails.

    Maybe WordPress has more suggestions.

WordPress has something like that; I had to approve the first comment of everybody here, then they seem able to comment freely. Except when they can’t. Maybe having a link in the comment gets it flagged.

      Except sometimes it doesn’t.

Force them to actually use their own products. Live, on camera, broadcast to the entire world.

CAPTCHA or reCAPTCHA for human identification.

Block ip ranges from -including other places- China… unless you want to be read in China, then that might not work for you.

    Whitelist regular commenters.
