More buzz.

This feral post by Sissy Willis is a few weeks old, but will remain pertinent.  She compares conservative journalists to individual grizzlies, and Journolisters to a wolf pack.

You should shift both groups down a notch, Sissy.

Conservative journalists are the wolves.  They completely agree on supporting and protecting the pack, but individuals have differences.  Sometimes savage differences.  And some are so far afield that they can be considered lone wolves (as compared to John McCain, rogue elephant).

You know Instapundit says, approvingly, “a pack, not a herd.”  So are progressives herd animals?  No.

They’re insects.  A hive, not a herd.

Think about it.  Unlike packs and herds, hives never move, never change position.   The highest castes never go outside their “Beltway” at all.  How, exactly, do “progressives” progress?  By seizing new territory while never relinquishing any.  They are statists.  They don’t migrate, they spawn and spread.

When threatened, progressives don’t go for single combat the way animals often do.  They swarm, ceaselessly biting and stinging without mercy or pity.  Due to their insectile social structure, they’re almost incapable of reason.  Truth is not what’s important; only what’s acceptable to the hive.

Those Journolist emails were buzzings from within.

I've accepted that all of you are socially superior to me. But no pretending that any of you are rational.

As I mentioned in my email to you, Not at all a bad analogy, although bees are people — I mean animals — too.

    All best. 😀
